More Of The Same

I have been very busy at the day job,

with very little creative time lately. 

But finally finished up a couple more soft covered books.

The black stamp is from a hand carved stamp I made some time ago.

I decided to try and dye the pages,

and like how they turned out.

Fabric Book

This beautiful piece of hand printed fabric arrived at my house over a year ago.

It was an unexpected gift from Julie Booth 

I used it as the base for this soft covered book

And I still have more of her fabulous fabric to play with. 

E m b e l l i s h

I created a small book out of watercolour paper 

that I wanted to add small embellishments to

The book seems to explode 

when I remove its small wrap around cover

Each page has a small embellishment on, 

and I have shared a few of them here.

( Opps - a dirty thumbnail -  I was soldering some jewelry right before I took these photos)

Rocks With Birds

More rocks with birds have joined my collection. 

I had some questions about whether ones I made earlier were for sale

And yes they are and these are too.

Bouncing Around

Lately I have been bouncing around a lot lately in my creative making.

Here are two more collage and scribble pieces I created. 

I really enjoyed creating these.... 

but I seem to enjoy creating many things, 

and sometimes wonder if I need to focus my creation making more

so I am not bouncing around so much. 

Softies

I have always loved books 

books to read

books to write or draw in

just a love of books

I have especially fallen in love with making 

these type of soft covered books. 

The cover is made from layers of fabric and paper that I glue together,

that I decorate with paint, pastels and ink

and finish off with a light layer of paste wax.  

The pages in this one are made from old posters 

that I sewed together to create

beautiful feeling pages.  

I feel some more of these might show up soon. 

Playtime

So many ideas swirl around inside my head, 

and I was very happy when I had some time to play with this one.

I played with a mixture of collage, ink, pastel, paint, and scribbles.

How freeing to scribble with  no worry about whether it turns out or not.

It was after all just some time to play.

And then a bit of playtime on the computer.
