I called it  findings
in the hope that I could
find some time
 to find the creativity
that lately seems to
be slipping through my fingers.

I worked so hard to find it
and now I have to work hard to keep it.

  1. what a BEAUTY Kim! one can peruse this piece from all sides! i have been feeling the same way, yet i know i'll get the time to create come HELL or HIGH WATER. summer time can be sooo fun, but if we can't get our feet wet with our passions a little suffering goes on, tee hee!

  2. I think it's something in the atmosphere. We all seem to be in a creative slump, but at least we're in it together.....:-/ (and if this is what you produce when your creativity is slipping through your fingers you're doing just fine!)

  3. "I worked so hard to find it
and now I have to work hard to keep it. "

yes. yes. I feel these words so deeply.

  4. It looks like a lovely finding. Hang on. I'll bet that during a creative slump your well is just refilling.

  5. May you not have to work too hard to keep it!
    xo Carole

  6. These are lovely and you sum up the nature of creativity so well - its elusiveness and contrariness and its here today (with luck) and gone tomorrow feeling.
