you are going string, kim. somehow it is nice and familiar to find you creating your style, it gives comfort. naturally, i'm also here on a mission, i'll admit it. maybe it'll tintiallate you, who knows? the DC {drawing challenges} is back. come and check out our new theme. you are very welcome. n♥
Thanks Sharmon! All I did to use the leaf was to press it and glue it onto a piece of watercolor paper, then spray it with a matte varnish when I was done. Will it last forever? no - put I enjoyed making it for now.
Your drawn birds are special. I was showing Julie Ford Oliver your blog while I was visiting her in New Mexico. She loves birds and she loved your bird drawings.
thxs, kim, to pop on over and leave me a message, that is very kind of you. i realise i haven't got your email adress, so i've let myself back in here, in the comment section. i think we can only play when time permitted. i mean, in an adult life? ;))) enjoy your sunday, and cheerio, later, n♥
Love lovelove your layers. Actually love that it may decay and not last forever. Of course, you could do it for permanence, but it's like nature...it's always coming and going:) Laura

ReplyDeleteLovely to visit your blog again and to find such clear colour and strong images as always. Especially like the birds ...
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous piece! I love how you used the leaf behind your bird drawing. Would love to know how you treated the leaf to use in your art.
