Paper, Pencil, Paint

I have been busy creating the past 3 days and finally finished this piece. 

It went through a number of stages before it was finished.....

below are some pictures at an early stage.

 

And here it is completed. 

The pages turned out curved 

because I decided to  glue heavy paper to the back of each page. 

 At first I was disappointed with that

but not anymore. 

It was a fun project, 

and I LOVE how the covers turned out. 

 

More play to come..... I hope!

Experimentation

I have a long list of things under the heading

"Things To Try"

I find the list grows longer  more quickly than I manage to try things.  

Making beads has been on this list for some time, 

and this week I  decided to try my hand at making polymer clay beads. 

As I have never worked with clay before, I purchased a tutorial from  

The Blue Bottle Tree, 

and started to play. 

I have created a few pair of earrings.....

and as is often the case for me, 

this experimenting has triggered many other creative ideas,

and sent me off in other jewelry making directions.  

So much fun..... so little time!

Collage Critters

I have had a bit of time to create some collage critters. 

I mounted them on some book board that I hinged together 

so they could stand up. 

A Road Trip Or Two

We have had company for the past week, 

so have been driving around showing off the Yukon.

We also went exploring on the Alaskan coast.
