Another Happy Collision

A couple more of my bird drawings collided with tea bag and some colour.

I continue to enjoy working on tea bags and as I am a constant tea drinker, and also have friends that collect them for me, I don't see running out for a long time.

I hope to be able to put both of these in my shop later today.

  1. Kim I love these. I'm doing birds on teabags these days too so I especially admire these. Great fun! *smiles* Norma

  4. Beautiful drawings, my teabag collection is growing but are very dark compared to yours, I don't rinse them; I could of course. But your rusting is fabulous, I've never managed that intensity of color - you inspire me to try again. Hope you're better!

  7. Wow, this is so inspiring to me. I have taken up drawing/sketching and my goal is to do birds and many other subjects. This makes me want to do them all the more. I thank you for sharing your work with us.
Do you use a pencil to sketch first then colour??? Inquiring minds would like to know.
    Happy Tuesday, Lesley

  8. Thank you for all of your comments. They make me smile! Below is a couple of answers to questions.

Lesley - I don't actually draw on the tea bag, rather draw on paper, copy it to the size I want and transfer it using gel medium onto the tea bag. I then add the colour.

Emma - I mostly drink herbal tea, and therefore the bags are not as dark as black tea.
