Exploring Again

Here is a little accordian book I made a while ago, using my drawings of birds.

I don't know what it is about accordian books, but I love creating them, and I love looking at them.

I think they are like a little surprise package just waiting to be explored.

And they can be displayed open showing off the whole story, or one section, or closed inviting exploration.

When I looked at this one today, it made me want to add it on my "Want to Create" list, that is already loaded down with ideas!

  1. Such a lovely book! Books as a whole are on my wish list. Maybe they're one of those things that I should "just do it". Can't wait to see your next accordion book.

  2. Beautiful book! Isn't it nice to re-visit past creations for new ideas!

I love the birthday book too! It's my oldest daughter's birthday today - she's 15 - I gave her some moolah oolah so she could buy clothes - not nearly so nice as your lovely memento of love :)

  3. Wow, this is so very beautiful, love it

  4. I love accordian books, too - yours is really wonderful!

  5. Books just cry out to be touched and explored! Yours are so lovely I wish I could reach right through the monitor!

  6. wow, this so so beautiful!
I love books like that, too, they are something between a book and a picture, keeping a secret...

  7. So pretty. What is wrapping the book? Muslin? Paper? I can't tell... it is lovely!

    1. What is wrapping the book? It is a thin strip of guaze like fabric. I love using it to wrap around books.

  8. As always - so inspirational and lovely!!

  9. What a gorgeous little book; I love these books as well. Textures and colors...what a beautiful blend!

  10. jumped over here from the comment you left on my blog...BTW- thank you!
and this little bird booklet is so fantastic...I'm such a sucker for birds...I'll be looking forward to more - I'm your newest follower!

  11. It's seldom I come upon a blog I just love I haven't enough time at the moment to look at all your stuff but I love it
